Two defibrillators for Titchwell

Titchwell is a small village and civil parish, situated on the north-west Norfolk coast. 55 registered electors were living there in 2025.

Titchwell hasn’t got a parish council, but that hasn’t stopped the village now from having two public-access defibrillators.

The minutes of their statutory parish meeting, held in February 2026, record that the Chairman advised that an application to the British Heart Foundation for a public access defibrillator had been successful and was expecting to receive the equipment during first week of March.
The Chestnut Group (Titchwell Manor) had agreed that the equipment could be located on their property and that electrical connections would be organized by them. Two local residents agreed to be responsible for
its periodic inspection and advising the chairman as and when replacement batteries, pads etc. were required.

By the time of the next meeting, in August 2026, the Chairman advised that the new defibrillator was now installed, operational and inspected as and when required by the two volunteers. There is a similar public access defibrillator at the RSPB reserve.
