The Edingthorpe community governance petition was delivered to the offices of the North Norfolk District Council on April 2nd, 2026.
Just over 27 weeks later, the council’s chief executive has now said the following:
“I have now personally reviewed your request and advise that arrangements are being made for a report accepting your proposal / petition for a review to be undertaken to be included on the agenda for the next meeting of Full Council on 18th November […] I trust the above moves your request for a Community Governance Review in Edingthorpe forward …” (Mr. Steve Blatch, Chief Executive of the North Norfok District Council, 12th October, 2026.)
Clearly, things don’t happen overnight at the district council, but, at last, there is evidence of progress.
